The mission of the Texas Chapter of the SPIAA is to further enhance the law enforcement profession within the State of Texas by supporting the educational programs of the Southern Police Institute, University of Louisville, Kentucky. It will seek to accomplish this by hosting educational conferences, trainings, networking events, sharing information through web technologies, and by providing scholarships for law enforcement managers of Texas agencies who because of budget constraints, could not otherwise afford to send their management staff to a professional development course such as the Southern Police Institute.
